Healing through wellness and wisdom: that’s what our Tribe Leaders do. They’re working hard on changing the world everyday, and if you were at this past year’s festival, you got the chance to truly experience how committed they are to what they do. This year, we want to give you the chance to get to know them even more!

This week’s Tribe Leader is the wonderful Stacy Irie Soul. She’s a conscious lifestyle coach, yoga and meditation instructor, and just an all-around amazing person. We sat down with Stacy to get the low-down on how she started, how she keeps such a positive outlook on life, and how she spreads that positivity to everyone she encounters.

Explain what you do and the journey of how you got there.

I teach yoga and meditation and have directed my conscious lifestyle coaching in the corporate direction. It took time to get here but it all happened naturally as I followed my curiosity and passion; first to learn to teach meditation, then to a mindfulness-neuroscience based coaching program, then to India to become a yoga teacher. I got here by making shifts and changes in my life, and always remaining curious and willing to learn.

How do you stay motivated? Do you have any daily rituals?

I stay motivated by maintaining my own weekly and daily routine, which is currently:

  • Daily kundalini yoga Mon-Fri at 7am
  • Daily journaling (daily intention, goal and gratitude list)
  • Daily 10 min french lessons
  • Weekly aerial silks class
  • Weekly practice of Tai Chi or Qi Gong

A lot of people are preoccupied thinking about the past or worrying about the future. How do make sure that you live in the present?

I am one of these people, but my constant awareness of it draws me back into being present.   I remind myself that the past cannot be changed and to be grateful for all the lessons, experiences and opportunities I have. I also remind myself that the future cannot be manipulated or controlled and that everything always works out in the end.

Love is a very important aspect of Tmrw.Tday, and we each have special and unique ways of showing love to the world. How do you spread love?

I spread love to the world by sharing messages of positivity and inspiration through social media, as well as through my choice to work as a yoga and meditation teacher. My goal is to crack people open and bring awareness one post, and one class at a time.

What is your biggest piece of advice for someone who is facing a challenge or feels like they want to take that next step towards something, but are scared or unsure?

My advice would be to surrender to the limitless possibilities and to remind them that everything always works out in the end. Things happen as they are meant to and sometimes not getting what we want leads us to something better. I would advise them to begin with one small step at a time.

What was the biggest thing you took away from last year’s festival?

My biggest take away from last year’s festival was the power of human connection. Witnessing the tribe connect and grow through face to face conversations, being in a safe space to open up and share each other’s dreams and struggles.

And finally, what are you most excited for at TT19?!

I am most excited to see our leaders and guests step outside their comfort zones by opening up and being real with one another through our Tribe Talks and workshops. I’m also excited for more day-time programming both in music and wellness!
